Comparison of revaluation of the investment in the sum of EUR 16,800
If you had made regular monthly savings of EUR 100 for the last 14 years (2005 to 2018) on a two-year term deposit, you would have reached an average yield of 1.7% p.a., but the real value of your savings after deducting the inflation (1.9% p.a.) would have not changed. If you were saving the same amount in global stocks, the value of the savings account would be higher by EUR 9,000 compared to saving through a two-year term deposit.
